At an event like VENUS, there is a unique opportunity to reach people who may not yet be fully aware of their preferences or who have not yet dared to admit to them. Many Looners may not even know that there is a growing and supportive community like ours. The fair offers us the opportunity to address these people – whether they have already had some initial experience or are simply curious. Through our presence, we create a space in which interested and like-minded people can get to know each other and network with each other.

For many Looners, it is a relief to know that they are not alone and that their preferences are not unusual or outlandish. Our stand serves as a contact point for those who have held back so far, be it out of insecurity or because they were not yet sure of their preferences. By being represented, we offer these people a platform on which they can explore their inclinations openly and without shame.

In addition to supporting our community, we have other important goals at VENUS. On the one hand, we want to make looner culture publicly visible and further reduce the stigma surrounding the balloon fetish. We want to show that it is a respectable and healthy preference and thus help to overcome prejudices. On the other hand, the trade fair offers us the chance to address manufacturers and shops directly. Through the public attention that we generate through our stand, we hope to draw the industry’s attention to us and, in the long term, to establish products and services specifically for looners.

Another important aspect of our participation is the financing of our association’s goals. VENUS offers an ideal opportunity to draw the attention of interested companies, sponsors and private individuals and to solicit donations. This financial support is crucial to continue our work, organize events, expand our platforms and reach more looners. This way we can ensure that our community grows, strengthens each other and that everyone who wants to be part of it has the opportunity to belong.

Our participation in the VENUS Festival not only serves to increase visibility, but also to build our community in the long term and promote a positive understanding of looner culture.
